WHAT ABOUT RESERVATIONS?

All of our locations require reservations. Same day phone reservations are sometimes possible and based upon availability. Walk ups are permitted on the weekends, but are based upon availability. Please see our cancellation policies.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL FEE?

We include your boat rental, life jackets, paddle, shuttle up river and brief paddling instructions.

WHERE DO WE MEET YOU?

Please review to the home page of each location for a meeting location map. Once you book your trip you will get a confirmation email with this information in it as well.

DO YOU HAVE GROUP RATES?

We offer group rates for groups of 10 or more rentals. To qualify for a discount, a single payment method must be submitted. Personal checks are not accepted. A group leader will be required to collect ALL group payment and signed waivers. Groups of 10-20 will get a 10% discount and 21+ will get a 15% discount. Please call to book group reservation to get the group rate it does not automatically apply discounts on the online booking system.

CAN I BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?

Yes! We offer a Bring Your Own Kayak option which includes shuttle up river for single kayaks ($15) and canoes/tandems ($30/2 people). All personal equipment must fit on your lap on the shuttle. Your kayak, tandem or canoe will be loaded on our trailer and you will ride the shuttle at the same time as any rentals. This option runs on the same schedule as our rentals and is based upon availability. Call/text us with any questions.

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept credit cards if you reserve your trip via our online booking system in advance. Cash payment is preferred for same day reservation with a credit card on file.

ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

Yes. We children ages 3 or older are able to go out in a tandem with parents. We recommend kids be 8 years or older to operate their own single kayak with an adult on the water.

ARE COOLERS ALLOWED?

Yes, cooler are allowed. They must be small enough to fit in your kayak. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the parks. We can search coolers if we feel it is warranted. Please ensure all trash comes back with you. "Leave No Trace Behind". Please note our trips run on a set schedule and boats are expected back for other guests to use! There is not a lot of extra time for you to stop along the river to picnic.

ARE THERE ANY RAPIDS ON THE RIVER?

BRA-Yes, on the Long and Middle Tours. There are 2 areas with class I rapids. Please see the Google Map for reference of where they are. The Short Tour does not have any rapids. We do offer guided rapids tours which are from Water Works Park-Portage Trail (Class II rapids).

MRA- No Rapids just flat water!

CVA- a handful of swift moving water areas. The Merriman Valley location has lots of curves and natural woody debris that you need to navigate.

HOW MANY PEOPLE FIT IN EACH TYPE OF BOAT?

Single Kayaks fit 1 person

Tandem Kayaks fit 2 people

WHAT TIME DO WE NEED TO ARRIVE?

You need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled trip time. Our shuttles leave at our set times. There are times there maybe a delay on departure time on the weekends as we navigate getting clean equipment reloaded between trips. Please allow yourself plenty of time for your trip! The shuttle will leave without you if you are not checked in at least 15 minutes prior to trip departure time.

HOW LONG DO THE TOURS TAKE?

ARE THE TOURS GUIDED?

All trips are self-guided at both location. BRA does have a guided beginner rapids trip. Kayak & YogAdventures do typically have a OTL staff on the water with you.

Both locations can provide guided trips for an additional fee with advance reservations

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

We do allow dogs to go out on the river. YOU MUST CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG AND ENSURE THEY MIND THEIR MANNERS. Your pup must be able to sit on you lap in the shuttle. If you are coming on the weekend or a busy day you maybe requested to drive 2 vehicles (leaving one at the ending point and following the shuttle with the other vehicle with the dog(s).)Please call if you have questions about this.

WHY CAN I NOT SELECT THE TYPE OF BOAT I WANT WHEN I AM TRYING TO BOOK?

If the number beside the type of boat you are trying to select is grayed out then that means that type of boat is not available at the time slot you are trying to reserve. You can try another time or trip length to see if the boat is available. If there is only 2 in the drop down that simply means there are only 2 more spaces in the shuttle for that time slot.
